Ongoing Support

We set you up for continued success.

We STAY

Although our model is one of gradual release in which we equip schools to sustain their own immersion programs, we know that success comes through constant communication and collaboration.  Besides working directly with point people at add.a.lingua professional development days and training, we have compiled our knowledge into a type of “immersion education for dummies” packet.  It includes everything from how immersion education first developed in the United States to parent handbooks and grade level literacy binder resource lists and budgets.

Online Tips

add.a.lingua understands that three contact points per year is not enough.  For the first three years of immersion program development, add.a.lingua sends online tips to point people.  These tips are carefully laid out according to the school calendar, corresponding to issues that arise at specific times throughout the growth cycle of an immersion program.  We include “copy and paste” email correspondence that point people can then send to immersion families, links to exciting new research, and practical advice regarding everything from Grandparents’ Day to parent/teacher conferences.

Instructional Specialist Visits

If the frameworks and training are not enough, add.a.lingua will also provide an instructional specialist visit from an experienced immersion educator.  The specialist observes, offers feedback, provides a time to set individual professional goals, and will even demonstrate a lesson so that your immersion teacher feels empowered and supported.
